In the coming spring and summer, young people of Ida-Viru County and Tallinn will be offered Estonian language and culture education in families of Pärnu, Saare, Viljandi, and Võru County.
The aim of organising Estonian language studies in families is to create opportunities for children and young people aged 7–19 with a mother tongue other than Estonian to form contacts with their peers who speak Estonian as their mother tongue and to encourage their societal engagement.
This year, 181 children and young people can take part in the programme. Unlike in previous years, young people of Tallinn will also have the opportunity to participate in family stays.
