Estonian language learners with a mother tongue other than Estonian in Pärnu County are welcome to take a tour of local farms and food. In Pärnu County tourist farms we meet wonderful vegetable gardens, tropical butterflies and happy chickens. There are horses with fluttering varnishes and black cows milking organic milk. Does a fish dish taste better on a coastal fisherman's yard? What is the most valuable drink in the wine manor? What makes the new port of Varbla proud and special?
The aim of the tour is to support a deeper understanding of the life and culture of Pärnu County and to test the language knowledge learned. An overview of the countryside of Pärnu County concerns agriculture, husbandry and fishing. Insights that are also offered in Estonian, are focusing on history, traditions, family life, nature and architecture, as well as economics and politics.
