‘Rüütli’ Hobby School
This school was founded in 2007.
It operates as part of the ‘Järelaitaja’ Study and Development Centre and is also known as the School of Russian Language and Culture.
It focuses on three main areas: education, culture and organising public events. Students are taught Russian language, literature and cultural history, learn about folk traditions, attend performances at the Russian Theatre and go on study trips to Russia. They take part in the Russian Culture and Language Festival in Pärnu and the ‘Svetotš’ International Slavic Culture Festival.
Students from the school have successfully taken part in Russian Language Olympiads.
