To celebrate Mother Language Day (14 March) and International Poetry Day (21 March), an evening of Estonian poetry and music will be held, where poetess Triin Soomets and musician Teet Raik will perform.
They will perform together for the second time; Teet gets inspiration from Triinu’s poems, and Triinu’s poems are influenced by Teet’s wonderful music. Poetry and music bring us together and free us.
In addition to poetry collections, Triin Soomets has also published prose. She has received several awards and her poems have been translated into more than twenty languages. Teet Raik is a versatile and renowned musician, conductor, and pedagogue.
In the evening of poetry and music, the poet Triin Soomets (1969) and the musician Teet Raik (1977) invite the listeners to think with them about all aspects of life.
